MAISON DE LA VARENNE

Summary

Located in parkland just 8km from Dieppe and surrounded by several lakes, this centre offers simple but comfortable accommodation and a very warm welcome to school groups visiting the region.

Facilities

The Maison de la Varenne can offer sole occupancy to groups, with 57 beds in total divided into rooms of 2-4 beds. Teachers will be given twin or single rooms. 5 rooms have en-suite facilities, and bathrooms for the remaining guests are located on the ground floor. An activity room is available, equipped with chairs and tables, a widescreen TV, cassette recorder, DVD player, CD player, book and video library and internet access. Outside there is a ping pong table and volleyball net.

Guided tour of Dieppe

Your guide (approved by the Ministry of Culture) will share with you his or her passion for Dieppe as you take a lively tour through the town and its history. Its monuments and listed buildings will be brought to life as you visit the Old Town and the historic port area.


Château-Musée de Dieppe

Housed in the medieval Château which dominates the town and the port, the museum illustrates Dieppe’s maritime heritage, with ancient maps, model ships and paintings from throughout Europe.
