Italy
Schools into Europe provides a range of school trips to Italy, whether you’re looking for a Italian language themed school trip, or a History school trip taking in the Colisseum in Rome or the adventure of a school trip to Gardaland Theme Park, then Schools into Europe will be able to provide the school trip to Italy to suit your needs.
Italy is the most wonderful destination for an educational tour. The country has an extraordinary wealth of culture for you to discover, from the ancient Romans, to the art, music and literature of the Renaissance, to the modern culture of a thriving European nation. Italy also has spectacular scenery, delicious food and friendly, welcoming people. Whatever the educational focus of your tour, Italy has something to offer.
Travelling by executive touring coach from your school, you can head straight for Northern Italy or take an overnight stopover, for example in beautiful Paris. For groups travelling to Rome or Sorrento we would recommend you break your journey in Lake Garda or Milan. Once you have reached your destination you will then have use of your coach to explore the region of your choice – or you could even choose a multi-centre tour to see as much as possible of this incredible country.
In Venice you can watch the gondolas float down the Grand Canal and admire the elegance of St. Mark’s Square. Escape from the city to the beauty and tranquillity of Lake Garda, where students can practice their Italian at a local market, or alternatively enjoy the thrills of a day at Gardaland theme park. Visit Italy’s fashion capital of Milan for a spot of window-shopping, a chance to see the world-famous Last Supper of Leonardo Da Vinci, or sports fans may prefer a tour of the San Siro Stadium. Florence is the perfect destination for art and design students. Home to some of the most famous galleries in the world, this is the city where you can see Michelangelo’s famous statue of David, and an unbelievable wealth of paintings, frescoes and sculptures of the Renaissance period.
The capital city of Rome has something for everyone. Students of religious studies and art alike will be fascinated by the Vatican City, whilst history and classical studies students can enjoy the Colisseum, Roman Forum and Pantheon. For a taste of the south, head to Sorrento and soak up the sunshine and beautiful scenery of the Amalfi Coast and Capri. Geography students will enjoy the chance to see Mount Vesuvius up close, whilst even more history awaits you at Pompeii.
Schools Into Europe will ensure that everything is pre–booked beforehand, leaving you more time to enjoy yourself.
