The Belgian Coast
The sandy beaches and nature reserves of the Belgian Coast make a wonderful location for school trips to stay. Whether it is the World War 1 (WWI) Battlefields that take your interest or the wonderful cities of Bruges, Ghent and Brussels, our hotels at several of the resorts along the coast provide an excellent base for you to explore the area fully.
The Belgian Coast is the ideal place for relaxation after a long day of sightseeing, and its combination of long sandy beaches and picturesque villages give you a taste of Belgium at its finest. Whether you are interested in a small fishing village, a lively beach–side resort or a bustling city, we have the perfect destination for you.
The city of Yprès can be easily reached from the Belgian coast. Approximately 500,000 people were killed in a 25 square–mile radius of the city during the First World War and given its current splendour it is hard to believe that the town itself was totally destroyed.
